PERFECT 10 PICKS.
Here are my perfect 10 things for Tuesday!
I'm excited to finally be on bloglovin'! You can follow me there by clicking below!
One // I had a blast a couple of weeks ago when I went to the Vogue x Stanford Shopping Center Fashion Show. I had the chance to meet Ashley Madekwe and interview her for a bit (see photos on Instagram here). She is so darling, intelligent, and sweet. She even let me take a #shoefie with her (see below)!
Two // I'm excited to try and get tickets to see one of my favorite comedians, Demetri Martin. Tickets go on sale this Friday. I love listening to him on Pandora. Jesse and I saw him at the Palace of Fine Arts a couple of years ago and he was awesome!
Three // Since we are moving (read more about that here), I have been a crazy Pinterest person trying to get home inspiration. We are looking to get a new couch and I love this one and this one, but feel like I am going to get one that is inexpensive because it seems ridiculous to spend a grand on a couch right now. I suddenly just got hungry for a 100 Grand Candy Bar.
Four // One of my favorite places in the city is Sidewalk Juice on 21st and Valencia. They have the most extensive menu of pressed juices and smoothies. I highly recommend it! On my to-do list this week is visit one of the coffee shops on my list. Last week I went to the Mill SF on Divisadero. Good news: everything there is insanely good. Bad news: I guess they don't want you to hang out there because there's no wi-fi. Jokes on them because Jesse taught me how to tether my iPhone so I can get internet access anywhere!!!
Five // Still craving these Chloe boots (last seen here) but I LOVE them in the black! They are on the top of my wishlist. Along with this Preen by Thorten Bregazzi dress. Only one of these is realistic, but a girl can dream.
Six // I was walking into Mollie Stone's yesterday and a guy stopped me to tell me that he loved my Isabel Marant shoes and asked me if I knew that her husband is designer Jerome Dreyfuss. We talked for a while and I thought it was pretty cool that my shoes could launch a friendship. Now that he mentioned it, these Jerome Dreyfuss boots seem a little Isabel Marant-inspired to me!
Seven // Since I have more free time, I have been able to spend time with old friends and make time to meet new ones! I had a blast with Emily Martin of Jet Setting Fashionista yesterday for lunch. We tried to go to b. patisserie but they are closed on Mondays. Looking forward to going back there ASAP! She had a nice moleskin notebook and it made me want to get this one from Smythson.
Eight // This Saturday is my last Saturday class at USF! I still have workshops for my trainee site, but those are only from 9am-1pm once a month. I can feel the moment my life becomes homework free is quickly approaching!! I'm looking forward to celebrating the USF Center for Child and Family Development at the 30th Gala this Thursday! I've been helping to plan this event and I can't wait to see it come together!
Nine // I love reading Mashable (Jesse got me hooked on it) and I can't wait to be in there one day! I found this and wanted to share: 22 Cozy Songs to Get Through Long Winter Nights. Enjoy! I'll be listening to this as I unpack our new apartment!
Ten // My Halloween costume really inspired me to participate in Santa Con 2014! Anyone interested in joining me??Holiday parties are right around the corner! I'm excited that Jesse and his co-founder have enlisted me to coordinate their BuildingConnected Holiday Party!!! Hmm.... I'm wondering if I should make the theme Santa Con? Triple down on this costume!! I told them that they just had to pay me a flat fee of one pair of shoes. I'm thinking these Manolo Blahniks or these J.Crew boots.
ps- Happy Veteran's Day!!! A special shout-out to my brother-in-law Eddie, to our friend Hector, and to my grandpa!
