There's more than just shopping at Westfield to get you in the holiday spirit! If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend or you need a break from shopping, head to the 4th Floor at Westfield for a 6 minute slice of holiday heaven with "San Francisco Ballet's Nutcracker Under the Dome", a spectacular light show. The shows run until the 31st, every half hour starting at 5pm until closing. There are also other holiday opportunities at Westfield that you can learn more about here.

I mentioned it in my previous post here, but I worked at San Francisco Ballet School for three years after college and I have so many great memories from my time there. I still love driving by the Ballet building and seeing all of the dancers cross the street to the War Memorial Opera House and the little bunheads in their level-appropriate colored leotards.

This time of year is always very fun but very exhausting for the Ballet. With Nutcracker performances in full swing, dancers of all ages, starting with the ladybugs and soldiers who are 7 years old, are busy dancing two shows a day. Oh, how I loved watching the final dress rehearsal from the Orchestra and feeling like a princess. It felt like they were performing just for me!

I won't be able to attend the Nutcracker this year, which is disappointing because it's been a tradition in my family forever, but I'll be able to have a taste of Nutcracker at the Westfield. I can't wait to pop into Bloomingdales, J.Crew, and RED Valentino before seeing the show. I'm also excited to check out the new restaurant TAP (415). Have you heard of it? I heard it's delicious!

Here are there perfect pairs inspired by the San Francisco Ballet and the Nutcracker! Happy Holidays!
