I've been thinking about this for a while and thought now would be the perfect time to share since people are probably looking for gifts for their partner. What better way to say Merry Christmas and I love you than matching outfits? The plus side to this approach is that you get to buy new stuff for yourself!

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal last year about couples in Asia wearing matching outfits. It really stuck with me and always makes me smile. I think it's endearing, but some people might find it cheesy. The only times Jesse and I have worn matching outfits, always unintentionally, is when we're both being basic on a Sunday in our NorthFace Fleeces or if we're both wearing BuildingConnected shirts. Luckily, it never turns into an US Weekly face-off of who wore it best.

If you want to get some matching items for you and your bae, the two places I'd start are East Dane for him and J.Crew for her. I recently discovered the men's brand Canada Goose and think it's perfect since the temperatures are really dropping. Most men don't wear long coats but in the colder months they are so functional and still stylish. I really like the camel coat from Billy Reid.
