Happy Monday!! Before I share updates, make sure you check out the giveaway on Perfect 10 SF Instagram for $900!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It was a jam packed weekend celebrating great people and I am feeling refreshed and excited for the good times ahead. I am sure everyone can agree that time if flying by! And it's only going to go by faster. One of my favorite things to do is look at my calendar and pencil different events in: engagement parties, bachelorette parties, birthing classes, hospital tours, travel, and more. I honestly feel like we are booked until Christmas! I just got an invitation to a friends 30th birthday in November!!! It seems far in advance, but if you don't reserve dates six months in advance things get booked!

Before I share my pregnancy update, I just want to send a special shout out to my students at SHP. Today is the official kick off of Spirit Week- the MOST anticipated week of the year for all 600 students. Crazy to think that I was responsible for planning, running, and keeping the peace for everyone for the past couple of years. I hope that things go well!! Each class has a class color (9-12: green, yellow, blue, and red) and they have to come up with a theme and dress up and compete in competitions. I've seen blood, sweat, and tears from these kids- it's intense. I have mixed feelings about missing it this year because it is complete chaos. I'm sending my love and prayers to everyone for a great week!

I hate to say it but Jesse and I didn't see any friends this weekend! It wasn't like we stayed at home like hermits. In fact, our weekend was so busy with wonderful celebrations in honor of family members. All of my family is in the bay area and my in-laws are in the east bay, so we are blessed to see family a lot. Friday night Jesse and I opted for a fun date night to catch up and have some alone time (I wore this dress! It's on sale now! I'll share my full outfit later). We went to our favorite sushi spot on 24th Street- Saru. It's become so popular that you have to get there right when it opens at 5:30pm or else wait for two hours. On Saturday I was with my family at my cousin Mike's engagement party (shout out to Mike who said he follows me on Insta!). It was really a special occasion and I LOVED seeing all of our family friends and catching up. It was hosted at the home of Johnny and Callie (read my post about her here) by the two of them and my brother and some of his friends. I wore one of my favorite dresses from J. McLaughlin.

Sunday morning, Jesse and I headed Berkeley to have breakfast with his parents which was really nice and they gave us this onesie from my sister-in-law Erienne! How cute is it?!!? She knows my taste SO well! Then we headed to my parents house to celebrate my sister Claire's birthday. It was a non-stop weekend and we ended it by making a quick trip to Macy's so Jesse could pick up a few things. Did you read Friday's post about the great deals at Macy's in support of raising awareness of heart disease in women? You can read about it here!

Now on to the pregnancy update: I'm happy to say that I am still feeling pretty good!! I have to tell you the funniest thing though-- I still don't really feel pregnant. I know last week I said I have a bump- well, I can see it but I can't feel it. When I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I think, "who is that pregnant lady?!" Jesse and I are heading on our babymoon this weekend and I'm hoping I still feel great. PLEASE SEND ANY TRAVEL ADVICE FOR PREGGARS PEOPLE MY WAY!!!!

ALSO, I just launched a new page with product reviews of baby products! I hope you check it out!

Baby is the size of: A cantaloupe! (I don't think I really knew how to spell cantaloupe before this).

Weight gain: 11 lbs. I feel pretty good about it. I'm pretty sure I gained more weight freshman year at USD! Hahah! I can't wait to get back into swimming and I'm actually going to take a water aerobics class at the gym with the elderly!!! I'm also going to take some classes at Avant Barre in the next couple of weeks. I'm still able to fit into non-maternity clothes- that was my goal for this week- to hold off on maternity clothes until we come back from our babymoon!

Common Symptoms

Fetal Movement: Yes! Yes! Yes! This baby girl moves A LOT. She's still moving a lot at 10:00pm! It's so funny. I also can feel her throughout the day when I am sitting. I was trying to explain to Jesse what it feels like and the best thing I came up with was sticking my finger in his mouth and pushing against his cheek. Sounds weird as hell, but I had to explain it to him!!!

Swollen ankles and feet: No, haven't had this happen. But I have noticed that my feet feel sweatier than normal.

Leg cramps: Luckily, no leg cramps. But I have noticed that the arches of my feet are very tight and if I bend my foot a certain way they will spasm. I've been doing stretches at night and roll my foot over a tennis ball- I learned this the dancers at San Francisco Ballet School. It's like a mini foam roller for your feet and it's great at loosening the muscles.

Back Aches: Actually not too bad this week!!

Linea Nigra: Yes! That was a big change from last week. Previously, I didn't even notice it. I think on Wednesday I got out of the shower and looked in the mirror and it was very apparent. And, to be perfectly honest, my initial reaction was not a positive one. I didn't like the way it looked and was a little discouraged, but got over it really quickly because I realized no one will see my stomach for a while.

Stretch Marks: No new ones. Still just the ones from puberty.

Itchy Belly: I haven't had an itchy belly at all. I think it's because my skin isn't stretching too fast. I'm sure I'll experience this in the next couple of weeks.

Tingling Hands: Yes! I already have poor circulation in my extremities and I've noticed the last week that my hands are getting pins and needles more often, but only when I am sleeping. I will wake up and my hand will be asleep or tingling.

Lower abdominal achiness: Not too much to report here. I think I might feel this a little bit later. I haven't had any cramps since the very beginning of the pregnancy, but recently I've been feeling a light stretching of my abdominal muscles but it's not bother me.

I've been Loving: Babysitting for my niece, Clementine! We have the best time together and it makes me so excited to be a mother. I am very grateful to my sister and her husband for their trust and letting me babysit. It has been amazing practice.

Also, I just received the CUTEST hats from The San Diego Hat Company for me and baby girl!! I can't wait to share those with you!!!

I've been cooking a lot recently. And truth be told, I'm actually getting better! There was no way I could get worse, but I've been having a blast cooking some simple recipes. I've been loving making egg sandwiches and keep making different variations. I was inspired a few weeks ago after I saw this simple recipe from Real Simple.

We are almost finished with the nursery-- just a few more details and then I can't wait to share the photos!!! I hope everyone has an amazing week!! Let the countdown to Valentine's begin to be appropriate (I know I started right after our midnight New Year's Eve kiss!!!).
