Love wins and if you feel like celebrating by adding some rainbow to your wardrobe, than might I suggest these perfect pride pieces:
Bright Espadrilles from Soludos // Colorful and comfortable. Perfect for walking around town or Marching in the Pride Parade in San Francisco this weekend (it's going to be NUTS!).
Rainbow Brights from Mara Hoffman // Beach or date night, you will be sure to stand out with these vibrant prints from one of my favorite designers (ever since seeing her new Star Wars inspired collection at Fashion Week in February)
Majestic Jems for pops of color // There's nothing I like more than wearing all white on hot summer days and then adding multiple colors to jazz up my outfit with colorful statement jewelry pieces. Statement doesn't just mean big, in your face anymore. It means eye catching, like the Gemma Redux necklace pictured above.
Coloful Claire V. // I'm not biased because one of my sisters' names is Claire (and even spelled the same way), I truly think that her bags are the perfect timeless accessory. I love seeing more color in recent bags and love the new Claire V. Backpacks.
If you want to do more than just add color to your wardrobe to celebrate Pride and the fact that #LoveWins then check out the cool things happening at San Francisco original, Academy of Art.
I have always loved Academy of Art and their presence in the city and I had to share what AAU School of Fashion Executive Director Simon Ungless said on today's ruling:
"Today's ruling by the Supreme Court is momentous. Academy of Art University is lucky enough to be rooted in San Francisco, a city that has a long history of supporting LGBT causes and equal rights. With a student body that is nearly as diverse as the city itself, we are celebrating this move toward equality. Going into SF Pride with this ruling, now more than ever we feel incredibly honored to be involved with Juanita MORE!'s fundraising efforts for Y.E.S." - Simon Ungless, Executive Director of the School of Fashion
Want to know something cool??!
Academy of Art University School of Fashion is pleased to partner with local activist and celebrated drag performer Juanita MORE! in her effort to raise money in support of the LGBTQ community.
Eight School of Fashion Textile Design students hand-printed 32 different designs inspired by MORE! on organic cotton tote bags. MORE! selected her four favorite designs, which have been produced locally and are being sold at local SF retailers, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Youth Empowerment Summit (Y.E.S).The remaining 28 designs are available for purchase at Academy of Art University’s store, SHOP657, with all proceeds going to Y.E.S. as well.
