sweater: Banana Republic (similar here) // dress: Zara via Crossroads // necklace: J.Crew // shoes: Brian Atwood (love these and these)

HAPPY TUESDAY! It's clear from the photos above that my baby bump is out there making a statement! I've been very lucky because I've been able to bounce back and forth between maternity and non-maternity clothes and sometimes I find myself pushing the limit. This dress is clearly not maternity (just look at the way it's a little shorter in the front because of my protruding bump), but I had to have it- I just LOVE red! But you probably knew that already from our wedding colors and nursery (ps- THANK YOU everyone for all of the sweet comments about our nursery! It was a really fun project and I am glad that we could share it with you!)

I've always been a big fan of Crossroads Trading Company, but with my daily-changing body due to pregnancy (yay! third trimester- read my pregnancy updates here!), I have an even deeper appreciation for this perfect place! If you're not familiar with Crossroads, get ready to learn about your new favorite shopping destination!

Crossroads is a buy-sell-trade clothing and accessories store with locations throughout California, New York, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and D.C. (see all of their store locations here). So what exactly is a buy-sell-trade store anyway?!

A buy-sell-trade store is a store that specializes in buying and selling clothing and accessories to and from the public for either cash or trade credit. It functions a lot like a consignment store, only you receive your cash or trade up front, as opposed to after your item sells. That means you can come in and:

(1) buy clothing

(2) sell your unwanted clothing for cash or

(3) trade your clothing for store credit

Seems impossible to walk into a store with clothes from your own closet and walk out with cash and some new pieces, right? Well, that's exactly what happens at Crossroads. I've gotten some great pieces over the years- my favorite Burberry skirt, a trench coat from Banana Republic, and dozens of accessories. Recently I saw this Zara dress and knew it would be playful for these warm San Francisco nights we've been having. I also love selling clothes that are too small for me with this baby belly so others can have a chance to own it! I love bringing in items for trade and swapping for pieces that fit my changing body. In some ways, it feels like Crossroads is just like freshman year of college when everyone would share clothes!!

My favorite locations to shop are the Fillmore store and the newly renovated Market Street location. I have a weekly meeting on Thursdays for graduate school on Fillmore so I am in there every Thursday around 4:00pm if you want to come join me! In addition to this amazing red dress from Zara (which I obviously had to style with white and blue), I picked up an amazing fringe Elizabeth and James blazer, scarf that's perfect for spring, and a Free People dress! Stay tuned because I'll be sharing those looks soon! Hope my bump and I bump into you at the Fillmore Street location soon! Have a great day!

ps- I'm a huge Brian Atwood fan! Shop some of my favorites below! Talk about life of the party!! Which pair is your favorite?

Maybe one day I'll get really lucky and see a Brian Atwood pair at Crossroads!!
