Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I had the BEST weekend! Before I get into the details of the weekend, I have to apologize for so few posts last week! My computer crashed! But it's my fault, so I can't be that upset. Stuff like this happens to me all the time: I tell the universe what's up. Here's the story: for my final class at USF we have to turn in an audio recording of ourselves in a session with a client. I recorded a session last Tuesday (since I am first to present-I always volunteer to go first for projects to get them out of the way. I've done it this way since 7th grade). In class on Tuesday night I told my professor I had it all ready to go and was just afraid about losing it or my computer crashing. Well, what do you know? Computer hard drive stopped working on Thursday morning, hence the few posts! Right now I'm using Jesse's computer and we're talking about our plan- I want him to get a new computer and I get his, but he wants me to get a new computer. Stay tuned for what we decide to do (new Apple computer comes out the 10th.....)

Speaking of Jesse, that lovely husband of mine SURPRISED me with a baby shower with my girlfriends this weekend! I think it was the first time in my life I have been surprised! I didn't expect it at all! He had said we were heading to watch Final Four games at Mission Rock but he wanted to stop by and check out STEM, a restaurant in the Dog Patch that my aunt Judy had told us about a few weeks ago at Caitlin's birthday party. When we went at 4pm to STEM, I didn't think anything of it, especially because it was empty! All of a sudden I hear, "SURPRISE!" and my girlfriends are there, looking adorable with huge smiles on their faces! I started to tear up because I was SO touched!! I honestly was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to see a bunch of my girlfriends before Baby Coco arrives! I mean, everyone's schedule is so busy that it's hard to coordinate with one friend, let alone get a handful together!! A special thank you to my friends for showering me with so much love: Nicole, Liz, Meagan, Jen, Nina, Sheila, and Louisa (note to self: need to write posts on Nina and Meagan, stat!!!)! And of course, lots of love to my very thoughtful husband!!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that on Friday I had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with my friend, Carol. We met up and walked all around the Stanford campus. It was so lovely to see her and discover new spots on the campus. She is one of my dearest friends and I am so thankful she is in my life!

Saturday morning Jesse and I ran errands, got brunch, and checked out Right Start to look at some strollers (expect a FULL post on that later this week- it was quite the funny experience!). Sunday morning we were with my family celebrating Easter and it was lovely!! We spent Sunday afternoon at the gym- I had to get my swim time in!

So, here's the update on the pregnancy! I'm still feeling really great, but definitely feel the symptoms of pregnancy coming my way. I guess it's about time, I mean I'm 32 weeks. I didn't realize that Carol and I walked around Stanford for over two hours! That evening I could barely move! I felt more sore than after running my (one and only) half marathon! I've been taking care of myself with my heating pad, showers, swimming, stretching, and ice packs. I think at this point I am growing my the day! I still need to share my experience about bathing suit shopping. Expect more pregnancy-related updates this week as we are getting closer to the end: just 56 more days to go!

Baby is the size of: A squash! Very exciting to think that she is getting bigger. Oh, and I am getting waaaay bigger! I'll take a bumpie soon to show everyone! This weekend I felt like she was getting really cramped in there!

Common Symptoms

Braxton Hicks Contractions: Don't think I've had these.

Shortness of breath: Yes, I felt this for the first time when I was swimming on Sunday. I think I was trying to go too fast.

Heartburn: Not this week.

Enlarged breasts: Not yet! I just got a good bra! I don't want to have to buy another one!

Things I can't live without: My heating pad from Walgreens, my Nike pants, my hair straightener (I've been wearing my hair straight more often), and my husband!

Excited about: We have a doctors appointment this Friday!! It feels like forever since we've been to the doctors!! I wish appointments were more frequent!! I'm also excited because my mom and sisters are throwing me a baby shower this weekend and I can't wait to celebrate with family!

Grateful for: All of the amazing people in my life. Honestly, I am so touched by the love that everyone has shown me and Baby Coco recently. And I am not just talking about the lovely gifts we have received. I cannot believe how thoughtful everyone has been- texting me, asking me how I am doing, calling, wanting updates, drilling me about the name, giving me advice, saying how much they care. It's honestly so special and I cannot begin to express my gratitude. It's important to have good people in your life and to be a good person. I try very hard to be thoughtful towards others, but it's something I am always trying to improve upon.

Laughing about: The last time Jesse threw me a surprise party it was for my birthday a few years ago and I had just gotten off work and gone for a run and was wearing my Invisalign. I'm sure people were very surprised to see me in spandex and have a lisp!! Luckily, for this shower I was dressed!! Shop my look here: Sam Edelman booties, Pixie Pants, and more!
