HAPPY MONDAY! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I wanted to share a little bit about what I did over the weekend to get a jump start on Mother's Day and celebrate my wonderful mother Celine!! I don't post about her too often, just a quick mention here and there, because she is so modest and doesn't want me to write too much about her. But the truth is, and my siblings will agree, that she is the most inspirational and influential woman in our lives, but also in the lives of so many people.

I talk to my mom on the phone several times a day-- we collaborate on projects together, I bounce ideas off of her, and her knowledge and experience in delivering and raising five children has been invaluable these past couple of months (check back tomorrow for my 36 Weeks Pregnancy update! You can read last week's here).

My family doesn't just celebrate Celine on Mother's Day; we treat May like it's the "Month of Celine" since her birthday is May 22nd and this year she will be celebrating her 60th! She is still so youthful, current, hip, in-the-known and relevant that it's hard to believe she's 60. I was telling her the other day that Baby Coco and I will be the same age distance as my mom and me- 30 years apart!

To celebrate one another, we usually give gifts of chocolate, ice cream, or someone's favorite dessert, so over the weekend I thought it would be fun to celebrate my mom with some Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares! Growing up in San Francisco, Ghirardelli has always had a special place in my heart because my mom would take us kids and our entire class there for ice cream sundaes. You can tell an authentic San Franciscan because we pronounce Ghirardelli correctly- not this Ghyira-deli nonsense!

Quality time as a family is so important to all of us Currans, so I thought it would be fun to spend the day getting manicures-- but after a bad experience at my regular nail salon (more on that later because I would love everyone's feedback)-- I thought it would be even better to have my mom over for at-home manis! It was a blast catching up, talking about pregnancy, and spending time with my sisters and nieces, who could not resist joining in on the fun! Gotta love my two year old niece Camilla requesting a pedicure! It was so nice to savor this special day with my mom because I love her so much, value her perspective, am inspired by her, and know that I will need her more than ever when our baby arrives in just a few short weeks!!!

I have to laugh because I picked up five different flavors of Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares for us to enjoy and realized after the fact that each flavor is similar to the 5 Curran kids' unique personalities: Danny-- Milk Chocolate with Caramel, Caitlin -- Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt Caramel, Me-- Dark Chocolate with White Mint, Colleen -- Intense Dark, and Claire-- Dark Chocolate with Raspberry Filling.

Savoring this moment with my mom and family made me realize that no matter how busy life can get, it's always important to make time and room for sweet people and sweet treats!!! I was happy to hear my mom say that the chocolate and quality time together was the perfect present. I was able to snap a few photos before we started painting our nails and devouring the chocolate, but I'm  really trying to work on capturing more photos of people! I realized after my baby shower that once the party starts it's non-stop taking and laughing and I forget to pause to take pictures! Maybe next time!

I hope everyone has a lovely Mother's Day! Hard to believe that I'll be a mom so soon! Thanks to all of the mom's out there that make it look so easy!!!! Celebrate yourself and the women you love with Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares!! xoxo, Caroline

Ps- I'll be sharing more photos on Perfect 10 SF Instagram. If you want even more drool-worthy, craving-inducing, chocolate covered photos in your life, you can follow Ghirardelli on Instagram and Facebook.
