PERFECT PLACE: MARIN COUNTRY MART.
Saturdays are always fun around here! Jesse usually wakes up early and plays basketball at USF and Lillian and I head out on an adventure to one of our favorite places, Marin Country Mart! You can read my previous post about MCM here.
Just located across the Golden Gate Bridge in Larkspur, Marin Country Mart is so close yet, with the warm weather, fun activities and great shopping, it can feel like you are really far away. We've also found it's the perfect spot when we want to get out of the city but don't want to head all the way to Sonoma.
Full of great restaurants, stores, and their well-known Saturday Farmer's Market with live music and a petting zoo and pony rides for little ones, you will quickly fall in love with it as much as we have!
Last week Marin Country Mart invited us to come celebrate a special Mother's Day as a family. We had a blast spending the day there exploring all of the offerings. Here are some of the highlights from our visit.
International Orange: I've been a long-time fan of International Orange's Fillmore Street location in SF ever since my sisters Caitlin and Claire introduced me to it a few years ago. While it is extremely convenient, I loved visiting their MCM location that opened just last April. I was treated to the Custom Enzyme Boost Facial and it was incredible! My skin has never looked better and I will be writing all about my experience with my esthetician Summer. She was absolutely incredible and taught me so much about skincare!
While I was getting my facial and in pure heaven, Jesse and Lillian were at the Farmer's Market at the Petting Zoo. Lillian absolutely loves animals and so it's always fun for her to see them up close. It's incredible to me how fearless she is with animals. She always wants to pet dogs and she just adores petting the bunnies!!
After my facial, I was experiencing euphoria. I also picked up a few products from the International Orange shop based on Summer's suggestions. I also got a few things for Jesse since our skin is so different from one another.
We headed to lunch at Farmshop and oh my heavens, the food was absolutely divine! We were able to sit outside and enjoy the shining sun. If you haven't been to Farmshop then you HAVE to go! The pizza is sooooooo delicious!! Our lunch coincided with Lillian being extremely restless! I know parents can totally relate! The Farmshop staff was incredible and really accommodating and once we got some pizza in front of Lillian she was focused on devouring it!
I highly suggest you make a reservation at Farmshop, even for brunch, because they fill up quickly! It's also really sweet (literally) but they give all guests a meringue to-go as a parting gift.
After lunch we walked around for the fun part: shopping! Everyone knows I am a huge Roberta Roller Rabbit fan and I absolutely love visiting their store at Marin Country Mart. Seeing their prints in person makes me so excited! We also went shopping at Poppy Store Marin, Hutchinson Fine Jewelry, Toy Crazy, Intermix, the bookstore Diesel, and James Perse. There are so many great stores and places to eat, you can view the full directory here.
We couldn't leave without Lillian watching the family of turtles in the pond and climbing on the outdoor repurposed tree play structure.
If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend for Mother's Day, or really any weekend, then you need to check out Marin Country Mart! This outdoor shopping experience is unlike anything and there is something for everyone. I honestly can't wait to go back this weekend!! If you go on Saturday, be sure to get yourself an iconic red Marin Country Mart balloon from the Marin Trading Post and Post Office there! Also, check out their Calendar of Events so you can see what fun events are coming up!
One thing I wanted to add: they have a Soul Cycle, Tutu School, and the best bakery at Rustic Bakery. I hope you enjoy your visit there!
A special thank you to Stephanie from Marin Country Mart for hosting us!
