Back to reality after an amazing weekend! Squarespace was having some issues this morning so I apologize for the delay!

I know I say this after every weekend, but this weekend was really fun! The celebrations started last Wednesday for my birthday and we are still celebrating! Friday night we relaxed and watched a movie. Saturday morning Jesse's parents came over for a birthday brunch and Jesse's mom surprised me with a little scavenger hunt around our house- it was so cute! There was a clue and a gift at each location.

Then we went to my niece's birthday party in Golden Gate Park and it was just one of those magical days. We challenged some other picnic-goers to a volleyball match and we won the first one. I felt so alive!!!! It was my siblings and our plus one against some random guys!!!! If you know me, you know that I love volleyball and that's how Jesse and I met. Playing volleyball reignited me and I feel back to myself again!

On Sunday we hung around then went to my friend Jessica's house in Sonoma for some pool time and had a blast. Then we met up with Claire and Mike to go swimming. On Monday we went to Train Town and then headed home.

It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation and I feel so lucky for my family and friends, and of course, volleyball.

If you've been reading this blog a while, you know that our weekends are pretty simple but they always bring me so much joy. I read a quote and it spoke to me, "The most meaningful lives, I’ve learned, are often not the extraordinary ones. They’re the ordinary ones lived with dignity."

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Pictured above is my favorite coffee from VJB! Unfortunately for this blog but fortunately for me, the weekends that are the most fun are usually the ones where I have hardly any pictures to share!
