Why I (continue to) Blog!
In April I celebrated four years of blogging and while I didn't do a photoshoot of me holding balloons like every blogger does when they hit a milestone, I did stop and think about why I blog. It's something I think about often, actually. While I started blogging as a fun project, I quickly learned the rush of complete autonomy, successful business development, and getting paid to share my ideas.
While so many things have changed for me personally and professionally since I was a 28-year-old creating Perfect 10 SF, the one thing that has never waivered is how much I love writing and just how therapeutic I find it. Regardless of the topic, getting my thoughts down has always helped me feel better, more aware, and grounded.
I love that I have my little corner of the internet where I can share what I feel, what inspires me, and what I hope for. I love that I get to connect with so many people, particularly business female business owners because of it. I love that I have a place to look back on it. I can't wait to reread these posts when I'm much older!
If you've been reading my blog over the years, you know how frustrated I get with how the industry has changed into just a huge advertising channel with people throwing products at you every day. The saturation is sometimes too much for me and I just have to remember to focus on myself and what I enjoy doing.
